Our story

Strong roots never
stop growing.

The story of Companhia Melhoramentos Norte do Paraná begins in the last century, in the 1920s, when a group from England arrived in the region, playing a key role in the economic development of an area spanning 13,200 km2. Londrina, Arapongas, Apucarana, Maringá, Cianorte, and Umuarama are some of the dozens of cities that were founded. Later, in 1944, the company was purchased by Brazilian entrepreneurs, marking the beginning of new ventures and a fresh economic cycle.

In 2011, with a new ownership structure, the company shifted its focus to the sugarcane energy sector, starting with a mill in the city of Jussara. In 2012, the Nova Londrina unit was acquired, and in 2022, the Vale do Paraná unit was added, leading to a significant increase in sugar milling production.
